The Lady Dragon Soccer Team hopes to continue it's success leading having two consecutive back-to-back years making the PIAA District 6 Championship.
In 2022, the Lady Dragons executed a 20-0 undefeated season before losing the D6 Final Championship to Bedford Lady Bisons after 80 minutes regulation and 2 Overtime periods followed by a 3-1 Overtime shootout. Central qualified for PIAA State Conference but were eliminated in the first game of the playoffs losing to Clearfield.
In 2023, a rematch between the Lady Dragons and Bison resulted in the opposite outcome. After full regulation, two Overtime periods, and a Penalty Shootout, Central won the trophy in a 6-4 shootout. Senior Goalkeeper, Lacey Ripka, would perform a presumable never-happened-before scenario not just scoring the game-winning goal but also making the subsequent game-winning save to win the PIAA District 6 Title. Central qualified for PIAA State Conference but were eliminated in the first game of the playoffs losing to Shady Side Academy (WPIAL), 2-0.
In 2024, the team finished the regular season with a 12-6-1 record qualifying for District Playoffs. In regular season competition, the team posted 85 goals and 39 goals. The Lady Dragons ranked #7 of 27 District 6 schools, and #3 in District 6 AA classification qualifying for District 6 playoffs as the #3 AA seed. Within Laurel Highlands Athletic (East) Conference, Central ranked #2 with an 8-3 Conference record. In the 1st round of playoff competition that was reminiscent of 2021 season, 6th seed Juniata beat Central 1-0 despite a 64% possession rate by the Lady Dragons.
